Sale Horses
Our clientlelle is a diverse group, and through them, we know of many horses for sale and many people who are looking. We work with performance horses from all disciplines, gaited horses, trail horses, draughts, ponies, race horses, driving horses, etc. We love to see the right horse in the right home, so feel free to contact us if you are in the market to buy or sell.
Finding the right match between horse and rider is vital. Since we see many problem horses, we are very aware of what can happen when a horse is not well-suited to its owner or its job. In our experience, spending extra time, and even some extra money, to find the right horse for you will more than pay for itself in the long run. We are available to help you with this process. Contact us if you would like us to evaluate a horse you are considering for purchase.
Dressage horses - We have two very solid upper level horses (both shown through 3rd 3, but schooling most FEI movements), as well as an extremely talented youngster (shown through 1st 1). These horses have incredible work ethic, temperments, and ability, and are for sale only to the right home. Contact us if you would like more information.
Darling Fiona - Irish Sport Horse $22,500
Fiona is a 4 year-old 16.1 hh. Irish Sport Horse mare with the best attributes of her Thoroughbred dam and Irish Draught sire. She is forward and light to ride, smart and brave, and a very easy keeper.
Fiona is schooling 1st level dressage and has a particularly easy time with the lateral work. She has a good iea of half-pass in trot and is just beginning to learn it in canter. Her gaits are naturally rhythmic and correct, but easy to ride, and her canter is very balanced and adjustable. She been started over fences, and shows great potential there as well. She is scopey, confident, and careful, and stays straight and quiet before and after the jump. Sh has schooled at a cross-country course and does not hesitate to tackle big, solid fences. She loves trails,

and loves a good gallop, but comes back easily. She's soft in the mouth and good off your leg; a real pleasure to ride and handle.
At her first recognized dressage show, Fiona behaved like a seasoned pro. She required no lunging and not much warm-up. She won two Training level classes (one with a 70%) and was second in the other. She was calm and quiet throughout the whole weekend, and a real pleasure to ride and show. Recently, she competed at a schooling dressage show and made her 1st level debut with a 66%.
Lil Ruff Diva - 5 year-old Quater Horse Mare $15,000 (photos coming soon)
Diva is an NRHA money earner by Lil Ruf Peppy. She was started at 2, shown successfully in the Open division at 3, then given almost a year off to mature. She's been brought back slowly and has just begun showing again. At the FRHA show on October 17-18, she won the Rookie Professional class on Saturday and Sunday night. She is fairly straightforward to ride and uncomplicated to show. She also loves to go on trail rides, or just hack around the farm. This mare is sweet and easy to be around.
Luke Skywalker - 11 year-old Andalusian Gelding $29,000
Congratulations to Lisa Cloninger on her purchase of Luke. We hope that she and her daughter Presley will have many years of enjoyment with him.
Luke is one of the best-minded horses you could ask for. Steven owned him from the time he was a yearling until he was seven years old. During that time, Steven taught Luk
e all kinds of advanced groundwork and leading exercises, such as coming when called, following without halter or lead, how to lay down, and how to shake his head yes and no. Luke got a very solid foundation under saddle, was used as a demo horse in clinics around the southeast, and spent countless hours on the trail. Steven could even ride him bridleless.
Since then, Luke's training has focused on dressage, although he has done some jumping, and loves to hop over anything you aim him at. He has just started schooling 3rd level, has great natural uphill balance, and a very correct way of moving. Lateral work and collection is easy for him, and his lengthenings are coming along well.
Luke loves attention and is brave and even-tempered. He is the type of horse who will give you confidence, but still remain challenging and fun. He does his best to take care of beginner riders or nervous ones, but really loves stepping up to a higher level of work. He'll try anything you ask, although he might express his opinion about it! This horse is a gem; you'll fall in love with him.
